Course Overview:

This accredited International Marketing Management degree is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of domestic and international marketing theory and current business management practices. On successful completion, you will be able to make an immediate and effective contribution to the operations of an international or national company within the field of marketing. 

You will develop an understanding of the complex nature of international marketing, compared to the domestic market, in areas such as culture, social structures, politics, economy, technology, and legal systems. You will study and analyse consumer attitudes to products and business and look at the behaviour of the customer in a rapidly changing world. Digital aspects of marketing are emphasised throughout the course and you will develop a solid understanding of the knowledge and skills within the area.

You will have the opportunity to undertake a four-week period of professional industry experience in a marketing role, which will enable you to put into practice the knowledge and skills developed throughout the course.

You will have access to our Placement Office, who will support you remotely in sourcing and validating a suitable position.

On completion of this course you will be equipped with a range of profession, managerial and subject-specific knowledge and skills for a career in the field of marketing and international marketing. A postgraduate qualification in international marketing management will enhance your ability to be more creative, flexible and disciplined in your approach to marketing.

There are a wide range of opportunities available to you and some typical career routes which previous graduates have moved into include brand and product management, advertising, public relations, market research, sales management, retailing and general marketing management.

Example roles you could progress into include Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, Global Marketing Executive, Director of Advertising.


What you will Study:

SEMESTER 1

You will gain a solid understanding of marketing and its key functional areas including business marketing and innovation, strategic digital communications, and global marketing management. Transferable skills in communication, teamwork, and presentation are also developed.

SEMESTER 2

You will continue to develop your specialist skills, in-depth knowledge, and practical experience. You will present a written research proposal for submission, which will normally form the basis for the master's dissertation or project. A four week period of professional industry experience is undertaken at the end of the taught modules.

SEMESTER 3

The Project/Dissertation can take the form of a practical project as an alternative to the traditional academic dissertation of 15,000 words. You will work independently but under tutorial supervision, to undertake the research and prepare the project/dissertation.

Placements:
